The XXIO 9 Steel Shafted Irons features a multi-material head technology that will add power, distance, stability, workability and forgiveness to your golf game. XXIO have made the head construction from a combination of a cast SUS630 body, an inner high-density Tungsten-Nickel heel and toe weights and a high-strength, low-density Titanium Super TIX Plus face. The XXIO9 series Irons feature the newest improvement to Dual Speed Technology, a boost in efficiency for the initial portion of the downswing. Lag is increased by utilizing a heavier hear and a lighter shaft with a higher balance point moving the CG closer to the grip. This improvement to the club brings the club head in tighter to the body of the golfer for a more efficient swing, which generates more centrifugal force (rotational speed) for increased head speed and greater distance.
5-piece head structure (#4-7) provide an even lower center of gravity. In addition to the nickel weight in the sole, engineers have placed high-density tungsten weights in the toe and heel. The result is a head with the lowest CG in XXIO history and a high heel-to-toe MOI. This 5-piece structure enables the ball to get airborne with ease and further improves the carry distance on miss-hits.

The incredible XXIO 9 Irons are fitted with new MP900 Graphite Shaft which features a reduced weight and a strategically positioned centre of gravity that works in tandem with the heavier head technology. NEW MP900 GRAPHITE SHAFT
The key update to Dual Speed Technology in the XXIO9 series is Dunlop Sports’ self-developed MP900 graphite shaft. Featuring advanced materials, this shaft is lighter, with the balance point closer to the grip, which allows the club to move closer to the golfer for a more efficient swing. The MP900 graphite shaft is made from cutting edge materials utilized in aircraft, launch vehicles, and next generation aerospace applications. Thanks to these advanced materials the MP900 graphite shaft is 2 grams lighter and the balance point was moved 20mm closer to the grip than the MP800 graphite shaft. A new layer structure was also created for the shaft in XXIO9, since the inner and outermost layers receive the most force during the swing, engineers utilized a concentric hoop layer to allow for both a lighter and more durable shaft.
